With the redesign of this kitchen in a rental apartment, the challenge was to rethink the potential of a rather small but high-ceiling space, and create a multifunctional situation.

The floorplan of the space being very irregular and impractical, it was decided to keep the first half of the room as a functional kitchen, and reserve the second half for an elevated platform that is perfect for dining or relaxing. Since the platform itself is hollow it also serves as hidden storage space for the hosts.
