Started at Betahaus Berlin in 2012, the workshop offered the possibility of learning skills to build one of the Cardboard Lampshades.
For a price cheaper than that of the retail product, attendants went home with a product they made with their own hands. The main idea was to encourage people to think again, whether they want to be makers or consumers, whether they want to build or buy.
Within 3 hours, attendants were able to turn a simple sheet of corrugated cardboard (100*70cm) into a personal, aesthetic piece of furniture, and left with both the product and the knowledge.
